pale meadow-beauty
There are about a dozen species of meadow-beauty native to Florida. This species, pale meadow-beauty, is common in the sandhills, flatwoods, bogs and marshes from the northern counties of Florida south to the central peninsula and Collier county (Wunderlin, 2003).
Pale meadow-beauty is present in the entire southeastern quarter of the U.S., to Illinois. It is also rare in some nearby states, up to Massachusetts (Kartesz, 1999). In Florida, this species blooms from spring through the fall.
